In honor of Canada Day, show us your favorite Canadian.
For crying out loud, spell it FAVOURITE if you are going to use the word to refer to Canadians.
Anyway...
My favourite Canadian would be very hard to choose, seeing as most of the people I love the most live in this beautiful country. My favourite famous Canadian would have to be, without a doubt, Margaret Atwood.
I was "assigned" her in History class, mainly because I believe Mo thought it would be funny to make me a feminist, and got hooked on her stories. I don't think Mo created anything in me that wasn't there already but he might have given me an outlet to unleash it. In those years since high school I've been an avid fan, even writing songs inspired by her writing. This one is the longest song (8 minutes, two time signatures and several movements) and is named after a phrase in "Alias Grace".
Fake it! is a song which has been through the mill a bit. Now with an even newer chorus, (but still lacking in vocal talent for which I apologize profusely) I've uploaded it again as a solo effort. This is a song about when relationships go wrong, and the emotions that exist at about this time. You may have been there yourself when a relationship comes to the end and the other person becomes somewhat of a stranger, and you question everything that you shared before. There comes a time when you need to decide to make a clean break - or is it worth hanging on in there? To this end, the song could be performed by either gender.
One year ago, I created
this blog with wild ambition to report in a real time genesis. No
biblical but artistic point, the idea to the realization of an
electro-rock band which took named Success. How successful? From the
outset, I told that it should be an huge and wolrd wide success. I
did not much wrong because I can announce our participation in
thirtieths Transmusicales THE french festival of discovery, in
December. Competitive remixes launched in March has travelled the
blogosphere several times and I can say that "Girl from New
Orleans" has already gone around the world. I post here the
remix done by Darlin'Nikki. One wonders. And I invite you to click on
the link below to discover Unknown Elementz, a german dj which has a
huge sound and its proposed 2 versions of GFNO.
I have not been
as diligent in drafting notes that I wanted but the key is there and
the truth in the interstices.
Today I wanted to hear some words, not even knowing those are words or not even knowing they were associations of anything at all, I only wrote down what I heard: Amul (sanskrit) - kuna (croatian) - huma (There is a belief that if the "huma" bird sits for a moment on someone's head it is a sign that he will become a king. Its true meaning is that when a person's thoughts so evolve that they break all limitation, then he becomes as a king) - kon... So afterwards I checked the internet and I found out they mean: Priceless money king angle... And Sinhai meaning ARMOUR (japanese)
What a coincidence, I was only working on the song drifter.
I'll keep on composing this way...
I love this world...
So there is no need for the Tree Of Knowledge at this point. There is : piece, wealth, stregth, health, happiness for all people in this world, I do and will believe.
Thanks:)

Learn To Play Guitar Fast
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ricky_Sharples]Ricky Sharples
When you watch somebody play fast on the guitar do you always wonder if you could learn to do that? Let us look at what resources we need to increase our own guitar playing speed on a regular basis.
The very first thing you are going to need is a metronome. You can buy one from your local music store, steal one from a maiden aunt or download one for free on the internet. If you choose to steal one, then I am afraid you will not make much progress in your quest to play guitar fast because shortcuts just do not work. Most of us look for the quickest and most painless way to do things, and that is why most of us are not playing guitar at the speed of light.
Okay, you have your metronome and an attitude adjustment. You are ready to begin. The next thing you need is something to practice. It can be a solo passage from a song. It can be an exercise, like a series of arpeggios or a picking exercise. You need to choose your material carefully because you will need to know exactly how fast you want to play in terms of the settings on your metronome. You may or may not need to spend time learning your passage from scratch as some familiarity with the piece is necessary to start increasing how fast you play it. By familiarity I mean the muscles in your fingers, hands and arms need to be able to play your piece without hesitation.
So that is the next thing you need. In order to play guitar fast you need to be able to play slowly. The exercise you have chosen to play should not be too easy, but at the same time it should not have too many tricky bits. That is why you are using an exercise or an isolated passage rather than a song or long solo.
Now you are starting to see the way ahead. If you have your practice passage ready, check it with your metronome. Make sure you know what your present speed is. The next thing is to take a metronome setting not too far above your present one and make that your goal.
Let us now talk about something you do not need. Muscular tension. You need to practice playing guitar fast without building a level of tension in the muscles that will work against your goal. In order to escape the possibility of too much tension you need to forget about time frames. You have your goal in the metronome setting. Leave the time open ended. The idea is not to actually PLAY guitar faster at sometime in the future, but to WORK A LITTLE BIT ON PLAYING FAST every day.
So if you choose a passage to practice in order to play fast, and you devote some time every day to practicing, your guitar playing speed will begin to increase. Once you have reached a level of skill on one exercise, choose another one with a couple more challenges. But remember to begin again from the beginning. Ascertain where you are now and decide on a realistic goal for your next step.
